Hi Aaron,
Bruce is right about question 2, of course. The house numbers are included in the "Land Register of Francis I (1817 – 1861)":
http://www.franziszeischerkataster.at/Eindex1.html
Unfortunately, the high-resolution digitized maps are not publicly available. Nevertheless, I have extracted specially for you a map section showing Brey Gasse = Bräuhausgasse = Razboieni = Lukiana Kobylitsi = Lukiana Kobylitsi:
https://www.amazon.de/clouddrive/share/T1r06nPzI5LTaoxr8ASVLzEtgPuNhZ23J6pnvVGfm15
Exactly in the middle between Siebebnürgerstrasse = Transilvaniei = Lenina = Golovna and Veteranengasse = Banatului = Tobilevicha you'll find - not easily readable - the house No. 1225. It is not 100% sure that this corresponds with the metrical books, but it could be a clue. Hope it helps.
Warmest wishes to all of you!
Edgar Hauster

On Question 2, Aaron, you’re looking for some of the original Cadastral maps, and I do think they’re “out there” in a library or archive, but haven’t been able to find one. But in searching, I found a document from 1782 with map and list of landowners, along with an 1898 list of property owners. So here are some links that may be of interest to you and other list members (even though it doesn’t show house number 1225):

About Question 3: List member Daniel Horowitz led the databasing efforts and he may know what’s in the “Various Records” category. Another approach is to contact the website developer, Banai Lynn Feldstein, for further information. This page gives a link to her email:

Good luck Aaron!

Hello,
I located a cousin's birth record using the wonderful Czernowitz vital records index (an amazing resource at
https://czernowitz.geneasearch.net/ if you were not aware and haven't used it) and have a few questions that I'm hopeful this group may be able to assist with:
* Can any of the German speakers in the group read Isser's occupation (
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS9R-1WDT-3?cat=1378569)? It's the record on December 23 for Ahron Ber in house 1225.
* Is there any way to learn more about house 1225? In other resources like Gesher Galicia's database, I've had great success finding other family members searching by house numbers but that doesn't seem to be possible here.
* Unfortunately, I don't see any other likely vital records for the family (the mother was from Jagielnica so I was very surprised to find them here), but there is a 'Czernowitz Various Records' for an 'Jser Ohrenstein'. Is it possible to find out what that might be?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
Aaron Slotnik
