Czernowitzers...
Two weeks ago I drew your attention to two new book releases:
https://www.mail-archive.com/czernowitz-l_at_list.cornell.edu/msg00353.html
In the meantime, I hold the books in my hands and I have excerpted from the book "Va implor, Domnule Maresal! Petitii si documente cu si despre evreii deportati in Transnistria (1941-1944) [I beg you, Mr. Marshal! Petitions and documents from and about the Jews deported to Transnistria (1941-1944)]" the alphabetical index of names:
http://hauster.de/data/IndexDeNume.pdf
No doubt about, most of them were from Bukovina and, who knows, if one of your ancestors intervened in favor of his relatives / friends deported to Transnistria...!
Warmest wishes to all of you!

Subject: [czernowitz-l] Two New Book Releases
Czernowitzers...
Dr. Mariana Hausleitner has pointed me to two new book releases from Romania:
CERNAUTI - OBIECTE PIERDUTE [Czerowitz, Lost Objects]
http://coroban.cartier.md/in-curand-15-4183.html
Va implor, Domnule Maresal! Petitii si documente cu si despre evreii deportati in Transnistria (1941-1944)
[I beg you, Mr. Marshal! Petitions and documents from and about the Jews deported to Transnistria (1941-1944)]
https://www.polirom.ro/web/polirom/carti/-/carte/7645
The second book is particularly interesting because the vast majority of Jews deported to Transnistria were from Bukovina.
Warmest wishes to all of you!
Edgar Hauster
