Precisely because most of us condemn Putin's war of aggression on Ukraine, it is important to examine the history of Ukraine scientifically, but also without bias. Here, whether we like it or not, we come across Stepan Bandera and the cult that is made around him in Ukraine. Two days ago, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung published a detailed article about this topic:

The author, Grzegorz Rossolinski-Liebe, published the only scientific biography of Stepan Bandera (see encl.). Let's listen carefully to what Grzegorz has to say about "Remembering and Forgetting Fascism in Ukraine":

It is interesting that Andri Melnik, the former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, was replaced not because he behaved undiplomatically towards the German government, but because he heroized Stepan Bandera.
