Dear Mr. Hauster,
To date, the incredible amount of 105,871 euro has arrived in our donation account. On behalf of our Ukrainian friends in the "Netzwerk Gedankendach", we cannot thank you enough for your generosity and solidarity.
Most of the donors have a personal connection to Bukovina, to Czernowitz. Some of them are survivors of the Shoa who have not forgotten their region of origin. An enormous amount of support also comes from the "Netzwerk Gedankendach" in the narrower sense: Like us at the IKGS, many people and institutions have experienced great hospitality, collegiality and professionalism in the cooperation with the University of Czernowitz and the "Zentrum Gedankendach" over the past years. All these good experiences, the friendships formed and the magic of the place make the reach and sustainability of the "Netzwerk Gedankendach".
A good part of the donations received have already been translated into concrete relief actions. Large packages of medical supplies were assembled in Munich, Vienna and in Romania and brought to Northern Bukovina. In addition, there were sleeping bags, shoes and food, which we were able to bring to Ukraine with our own transport, but also in cooperation with partners in Berlin, Hamburg, Cluj-Napoca, Suceava and Iași/Jassy. Currently, a truck is being loaded with food in Iași. It will cross the border in a few days, as will a large shipment of insulin.
We will keep you updated on the page of the relief action:

Thank you so much for your generosity! Stand with Ukraine!
