I hope the attached postmark is at least one you are looking for. My paternal grandfather (Richard Charles Bernhard) was also born in Stanestie De Jos in 1896 and posted correspondence from there until he emigrated to the US (as Chaim Riven Bernhard) after WWI. He died in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1979. He also married my paternal grandmother, Amalie Lobl, who was from nearby Chernivtsi.

Thanks so much for posting the link to the Bukowina stamps. I've been chasing a STANESTI DE JOS postmark for many years. My grandfather was born there. There was a STANESTI postmark on this list — is it from STANESTI DE JOS? I know there are other places with this name.
