Regina Helena was the GGD of Queen Victoria of GB and GD of Tsar Nicolai 2
of Russia, which is by many decreed as a much nobler status than Carol's.
She was involved in many actions for the benefit of Romania. Among others
she arranged for a Jewish firm from Edinborough to construct a modern (by
the standards of those days) poultry processing plant by the name of
'Paserea" in Novoselitsa, and personally attended it's opening in the
beginning of the 30ties of the 20ieth century. The buildings of the plant
are nowadays activated by the Ukrainians for other purposes.
