Dearest Hedwig,

there is unfortunately no hope to find anything prior to 1944 in the Jewish cemetery of Lviv. The destruction was total. I'm sorry for beeing unable to provide better news.

Warm wishes from Cologne, I'm already back home.

Subject: [Cz-L] Under a blue sky

Dear all,

When I woke up the sky was deep blue, the weather report promised 35
degrees. I decided to stay in the city of Lviv (Lwow, Lemberg) and to walk
to the Jewish cemetery and the nearby former concentration camp site. It was
a sad walk.

Regards from Lemberg,
