I really think it mattered what the rank of the
Jewish soldier was.
I see a lot of people here wrote that their grandparents and great uncles were army officers.
Of course they got better treatment than the privates/foot soldiers.
That happens in every army no matter what religion the soldiers are.
War was hell in 1914 for every soldier in the trenches.
