This is Cliff Rees from Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, logging in from my sister's home in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, where this morning our family celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of my nephew, David Reische. Melita, I thoroughly enjoyed your trip report. You did a great job under what I know from personal experience duuring my 1993 trip to the Ukraine to be a challenging environment. Bruce Reisch and I have talked often about the concept of "mitzvah" as it applies to this genealogy work. On this day of celebration in our family, it seems particularly appropriate to acknowledge you for the mitzvah of honoring your ancestors in a very special and loving way. I'm honored that I played a very small part in your quest. I look forward to meeting you in person some day.
