<x-flowed>Regarding the debate about the historical status of Bukovina under
Austrian rule, I'm not sure if everyone saw Alexander Sharon's post
to the JewishGen discussion group last Friday:

******
Marc,

Bukovina has been administered as a district of the Province of Galicia
between 1786 to 1849 and it was granted the status of an separate crown
land and duchy in 1849.

Regards,

Alexander Sharon
