<FONT face=Arial>I have been interested in finding out about my
Grandfather, David Stier.</FONT>
<FONT face=Arial>I met himwhen I was a little boy, before he died in
1947, in New York. He was born in Panca, Bucovina in 1862 or 1864. Panca
is now Panka and is located about 10 miles southwest of Czernowitz. I have his
passport and am not sure of the last digit of his birth year.Sometime
after his birth in Panca he moved to Iasi, Rumania. He eventually married
and had 13 children, including his youngest offspring, my Mother. They all
emigrated to New York in the early '20s. I have many family pictures from
the latter part of the 1800's. I have no information on David's brothers or
sisters, parents, etc. I would appreciate any information or
suggestions.</FONT>
