To the nice group which I joined recently:
After following the Saddam Hussein saga on TV for the last
couple of hours, and feeling pleased with the final result, I do find however
that I need a change of subject...
So I would like to ask you,who come from my native city,
whether you have also noticed that Czernowitz people are somehow ided into
two groups:
The first group of people saying that they simply MUST go back
there at least once, to walk again the familiar streets, to visit the parks and
look up certain buildings - simply to close the circle somehow.

The second group will claim:
"What for? I don't know anybody there, it was there that
all our troubles started, the city is in a state of decay..no, no, I will rather
go to the French Riviera.."

Strangely enough I have never met anyone from Czernowitz who
would say:
"To go back?" Oh well, I can take it or leave
it!"

Incidentally I myself DID go back, but I will tell you about
this another time..

All the best,
