Yes, Anti Semites was a governing factor.
Then there was the "fairy tale," that the streets of America are
paved in Gold.
Usually one child was sent and eventually he brought over the rest of the family.
During WWI (1914-1919) Austira-Hungary was on the losing side.
After the war the economicsituation was bad, there was inflation etc. Also during that period there was a great epidemic all over Europe I believe it was called Spanish Flu or whatever and it killed I believe over 20 million people all over Europe.
