Dear Lucca,

Thank you for passing your story onto us. I can appreciate how difficult
looking back at these years must be. Hopefully talking about them
offers some relief too.

What's interesting is that just yesterday I outlined a chapter about
those same years in a book I have been writing on line, with emphasis as
to what was happening in our house as my brothers went to war. I also am
trying to parallel it with information given so generously by survivors
such as yourself, to widen the picture and comprehend the scope of those
times.

No matter how many years pass, it is still heartwrenching to read the
horrifying details and comprehend the wonderment as to how the
victim/survivors managed to continue life in some productive way.

I feel each of us hearing your story today becomes a link in the
preservation of this history.

With your permission, I would lilke to include it my book,

Warmest regards,

Jeanne Blitzer Andelman
