I was just contacted by a person who found the Czernowitz-L web site
and wished to know about how to research his Korner / Kerner family
from Czernowitz and Dobrynowitz. He also asked if I had any
connections to the Kerner family. Strangely enough, I do! I've
encouraged him to join the list, but meanwhile I am corresponding
with him about our possible family connection. This would not have
been possible without the terrific Czernowitz web site under Jerome
Schatten's leadership! Thanks, J, and thanks, too, to all other who
have contributed to the site.

With the New Year here, and a number of new subscribers on board,
maybe now is a good time to post a list of the my family surnames
