Dear David,
Your suggestion of having a centenary of the yiddish language
conference in 2008 in Czernowitz is indeed very worthy and
will be welcomed by all yiddish lovers all over the world.( Not
only Czernowitzers).
As we know ,in 2008 , the city will celebrate it's 600 year
founding date and what would more becoming than incorporating
this centenary into the framework of the festivities.
I am certain that the City Council ,will be overjoyed by
this proposal and will gladly agree to extend auspices to such
a worthy cause.
As our site has a subcommittee in charge of liasons with
the City on this ,they should now take over....
