[Cz-L] Schachner family and Sereth

Hi:
In studying my wife's family I am came upon a Solomon Schachner from Sereth
(Serit, Sirit now part of Romania).

He left Sereth in 1906 at age 19 came to New York and died in 1932 leaving
a wife and three sons. His dob was 1885.

I wonder if anyone here has encountered others of that surname from the
area or has any knowledge of Sereth.
