[Cz-L] hello from CZ 2006

The reunion is almost over and it was worth all the trouble of coming
from Santa Clara, CA, USA to Chernivtsi also knows as [aka] cernauti,
aka Czernowitz, aka Chernovtzy, if I have all the spelling right.

The tremendous effort by the planning committee paid off in an
interesting meeting with a variety of information exchanged.
Speaking for Donna and Wolfgang, we are tired but full of new
information. Although our "tired" must not come close to how tired
Mimi must feel since she did all that stuff in the USA and THEN more
in CZ. Despite this, she did not look exhausted this morning, when
we left for Suceava going Iasi where I'm gong to try to find where
the Alexander Schaechters [three of us] lived in 1935-40.

For people who are concerned about the silence in the CZ list that
descended when the group departed for CZ, give it a week or at most
10 days before emails start flowing again. Communication from the
Cheremosh is not easy since the single-computer "Business Office Open
24 Hours" is actually open only 0900-1700 Monday to Friday and just
eating supper inthe restaurant can take 2-3 hours.
