Hi Czernowitzers,
As Bruce wrote, the project I started a couple of years ago with HFPJC was=20
abandoned. At the time, the World Org. of Bukowina Jews in Israel felt the=
y=20
could do it much cheaper. Since we were unable to raise any significant fu=
nds=20
here, we left it to the group in Israel to handle. Unfortunately nothing h=
as=20
been done. I still think we need an organization such as HFPJC to handle=20
any major restoration. None of us has unlimited time to devote to this pro=
ject=20
and it is a daunting one. The HFPJC is in the business of doing this and=20
has ample experience in other areas of the former Soviet Union. I don't=20
believe we have anyone in the list group who has done this before and has th=
e=20
adequate experience.=20
