An English translation of "The Jewish "Vatican" in Sadagora, Volume
I" by Mordechai Rubinstein (Ben-Saar), 1958, was just recently posted
to the JewishGen Yizkor Book web site. You can read this online at:

It's really terrific to those of us not fluent in German to finally
be able to read this 2 volume set in English. (Volume II was posted
earlier at:
http://www.jewishgen.org/Yizkor/sadagora/sadagora.html )

It is also very hard to find copies of this yizkor book in libraries,
so it's free availability on JewishGen is greatly appreciated. A
round of applause should go to group member Jerome Silverbush of
North Carolina who quietly plugs away as a volunteer translator.
Jerry also translated much of Hugo Gold's 2 volume work, the History
of the Jews in the Bukowina.
