Dear All,
I wrote my previous letter about Jerome's draft of a response to the request
from the councilor to the Chernivtsi city mayor, before I read the letters
written on the same subject by Charles Rosner and Marianne Hirsch.
Both these letters contain suggestions which I think are sensible and
appropriate and are worth following-up on.
I think that they may carry more weight if sent individually by Marianne and
Charles directly to Mr. Kylynych. V.Kilinich <chernivci_600_at_rada.cv.ua>
If sent individually they are also less likely to elicit a response of "you
want us to do something, give us the money to do it with".
A few days ago, I wrote to Mr. Kilinich (that is how he spells his name)
offering him photocopies of documents and photographs of Czernowitz and
yesterday I received a message of thanks, but without any specific mention
of my suggestion to have a photographic exhibit of Czernowitz buildings and
streets as they looked in the thirties and as they look now.
Be well,
Mimi
