Hi David,
I am hoping that the information that I am providing below aids your
research on the Wolkenstein and Wolton surname.
I am listing what entries I have on my New York/New Jersey cemetery database
that might be of interest to you:
WOLTON:
Israel, Gussie (Gittel) and Gladys (child) Wolton, buried in two separate
Warszawa society plots at Mt. Zion.
Please find out more about their location at www.mountzioncemetery.com and
search under "WALTON." Note the surname is spelled wrong in their database,
as I have their gravestone photos that have the name WOLTON inscribed upon
them.
There is also an Ida and Moris Wolton buried at Montefiore Cemetery in
Springfield Gardens, NY, also in a Warszawa plot. No searchable database for
this cemetery.
It is important to note that just because they are buried in a
Warszawa-associated plot, it doesn't mean that they were from Warszawa.
Also, may I suggest you always check whatever searchable cemetery databases
are available whenever you are looking for a new surname of interest?
The db for Mt. Zion also lists a Clara Wolkenstein who is buried in a
Bucovina society plot.
The db for Mt. Hebron (www.mounthebroncemetery.com ) lists a Ralph and Marie
Wolkenstein who are buried in a Herzogthum Buk. Lodge plot.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Steve Lasky
