Dear Nina,

I got a very helpful email from Roza Shteyn, who gave me the details of the
book that I had in mind.

The title of the book is "While the gods were silent: growing up under
fascists and communists", the author is Julius
Scherzer.

The publisher is Publish America. It is available from Amazon.com, and
according to Roza also from Barnes & Noble.

I just bought a copy from Amazon. So far I have only had time to glance
through it, but it looks intensely interesting. Definitely recommendable.

I am copying this email to the List as I thought that the book might be of
interest to other people also.
