Gathered from various sources on the internet:
The German magazine Focus has published an article claiming
that Chernivtsi is the best city to live in in the Ukraine.
Ahead of Kiev and other cities.
How they came to this conclusion, I do not know.
Chernivtsi airport is to get a new and improved runway.
Hopefully this will lead to direct flights from Vienna.
The Yiddish conference in Chernivtsi will start on Aug. 17th,
Not on the 18th, as I previously wrote.
It is likely that the Ukraine will be admitted to the EU
in 2009.
The rate of inflation in the Ukraine this year is likely to be 20%.
There are attempts at high levels of government, to improve relations
between Rumania and the Ukraine.
Shabbat Shalom,
Mimi
