Dear Arthur,
We are aware of where you was born : Town ,street and house.
Some of our group think that we shall call the town by its Rumanian
name
in all versions because the events took place under Rumanian rule.
Others disagree.
By the way there are names of Czernowitz in Russian : Chernovitsy,
In Polish : Czerniowce and even in Esperanto :Cernivco.
As we so proudly say : A multilingual Kulturmetropole
Hardy

Subject: CZERNOWITZ, CERNA(UT,I, CHENIVTSI(????????)
Dear Hardy and all,
I was born in CZERNOWITZ and not in "This City,"
In 1937 it was Romania and the city was called CERNAUTI
Now Czernowitz is in the Ukraine and they call it CHENIVTSI (???????? )
So what is the problem?
Arthur
