[Cz-L] Photographs

Dear group,
Thank you for your fast response and great interest in my work. I
already received some really valuable information, for which I am very
grateful. Jerome Schatten has anticipated my question regarding using
material from the web-site and answered it in advance – thank you! I
would like to assure you that whenever I use material from the on-line
archive, proper reference and acknowledgement will be provided.
In this connection, I am now preparing a presentation for the annual
University of Toronto Graduate Symposium in early February 2008. My
paper (which, hopefully, I will extend and publish later) is entitled
The Cinema in a Synagogue: Sovietization, Urban Reconstruction, and
Nation-Building in the City of Chernivtsi, Ukraine. I am planning to
make it very visual and use a lot of illustrations. I am trying to put
together a brief but revealing selection of photos to give my audience
an impression of what Chernitvsi must have looked like to the
in-migrants from Soviet interior (to illustrate how different this
world was from the Soviet one). Ideally, it would be pictures
featuring both people and architecture. As I have not been to my
archival trip yet, I do not have a lot of material in had. I have
selected some from the website; but I was also wondering of anyone
could suggest anything or share pictures that are not on-line.
Please let me know if anyone would like to look at the draft of my paper.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated, and again, thank you very
much for your help and interest!
