     I think that the text should be also in Romanian. Popovici was a
Romanian...
     I found in my familly pictures old photos from Czernowitz and a
relative from Haifa promised to let me look in her pictures from her
mothers's "safta".

   Absolutely - not only was it spoken by all Czernowitzer at that time
    but the majority of tourists who come to Czernowitz today are
    German speaking.
