Dear all,
I fully agree with Hardy's latest proposal attached to his e-mail to Jerome
dated June 15, 2008.
I am not sure whether the plaque really needs to be carved in black basalt
stone, or
whether it would be more appropriate to have it in bronze (made and cast by
the same Anatoli Piantkovski).
Hardy's proposal, as it is, without any further changes or "compromises" is
perfect. Consequently, I would insist not to include on the plaque any photo
of Popovici or any other type of portrait, no signature, nor any other
images ("standing persons"). It would be just a waste of money and, in
fact, "kitsch".
If this is acceptable by the majority of our List members, my humble
contribution to the financing of the plaque would be
100 US Dollars. If accepted, Mimi - please let me know to whom to send my
check.
All the best,
Abraham K.
