POPOVICI SURVIVORS , WHO STILL REMEMBER , HOW MANY ?

Today we are out for speculations . How many Jews saved by Popovici

     are still around ?

Assuming to what we know , the number of saved was roughly 20,000 in 1941=
.

Let us split this number into 10 age groups at 2000 persons per group.

Each group of a 7 year age span.

The first age group who was 0-7 years old we can remove, they were too=

small to remember or tell us anything.

Age groups 3-10 were from 21 – 70 years of age at that time so that=

today they must be 90 to 139 years of age by now and therefore almost
extinct .

Those still alive of this age group don’t remember very much or ve=
ry
well.

This leaves age group 2 and 3 , those who were from 7 to 21 years old at=

that time.

They are now from 75 to 89 years old.

At 2000 heads per group that sums up to 4000 survivors.

Natural death , sickness , accidents, wars must have taken their tol=
l
too.

During 70 years an estimate of 1000( or so) didn’t make it .

This leaves some 3000 living Popovici survivors.

People who can still remember .

                       If they don’t have Alzheimer.

              Genuine 3000 Popovici survivors.

How much longer ? Your can guess .

What will be left then ?

The Popovici plate at Yad Vashem and the Herrengasse plate of 2008.

If we , hopefully , succeed.

And a story of human infamy .
