Hi,

First of all I want to thank those who e-mailed me recently about an
item on eBay that had relevance to my genealogy research.
So I wish to share this story. My great grandfather was born in
Czernowitz and spent his life in the Bukowina. Low and behold there
was a picture of him, on a postcard, on eBay. So I placed a bid of
what I thought was a high amount of 30 euros. I mean who else would be
interested in having a picture of one of my relatives? Well low and
behold someone else was interested in him too. Much to my
astonishment, eight bids later, it ended at 52 euros! I quickly
copied and pasted the image into my computer. You can view it by
going to the eBay site and placing in a search for 320265388597 and
then scroll half way down the page.

Thanks again to those who spotted the item. In genealogy research,
connections can come about in the strangest places.

All the best,
Joe
