Greetings,

I'm reading an article in the New York Times from 1880 about a woman in
Czernowitz named Irene Gabor who was being tried by the criminal tribunal in
Czernowitz for putting a spell on a pork butcher in the town. She performed
some sleight-of-hand tricks for the butcher's wife and convinced her by this
that she was a sorceress, and the folly continued......

Would the surname Gabor be considered a Jewish name?
