Florentin,

I did not write that the Chernivtsi city government rejected
the proposed Romanian inscription. So far it has not done so.
A private contact in Chernivtsi wrote me, that they MIGHT do so.
I wrote about this to the Cz.-List because, I wanted to know,
what to do, if this indeed happened. It may not happen.

I want the Romanian text to be included, because Mr. Popovici
was Romanian. But, next to the purpose of honoring this outstanding
man, the plaque is to serve as a reminder and an example of how
a single person can affect positively the fate of thousands.

Mimi
