Lilian Madfes has had a very wonderful idea on how to spread and perpetuate
the knowledge of the personality and actions of Traian Popovici. Lilian
suggests that visual artists and writers, the world over be encouraged to
participate in a cyberspace memorial to Traian Popovici. This could include
both adult and professional artists and writers, as well as university- and
high school-students. Biographical histories by Czernowitz survivors could
also be included.
Are there any members of the Czernowitz-List, who could set up a special
website for this memorial? Jerome, would rather, that someone else took
this on.
In addition to someone who would set up the website and be it's master, we
will need someone to publicize it and gather the material to be displayed
on it.
Lilian believes (and I think rightfully so) that such a cyberspace memorial
would encourage many people to learn about the actions of Traian Popovici
and would serve as an effective, honest memorial free of political or
bureaucratic interference.
