Mimi, et al.
I just looked at my link for <http://www.bukovinajewsworldunion.org>
on the website. There used to be an on-line version of 'Die Stimme'
there, but now, nothing. There is a placeholder webpage with the title
'bukovinajewsworldunion.org' followed by nothing but silly adverts.
So, I guess the on-line edition as well as their website are now
defunct.
Also I believe that at the Hesed Shushana
<http://shushana.h1.ru/ENG/eng_index.html> website there was also a
link to bukovinajewswoldunion.org, but I couldn't find it today.
So, how would one contact them? Who's the editor?
I believe there's a Lyris list function that just sends an email
message to subscribers with the 'subject line' of the messages for the
day (Bruce am I correct?). That might do for whomever has email at Die
Stimme, and then they could download the messages they were interested
in and print them in the paper.
That gives the editor access without having to get all the messages,
and saves someone on the list guessing at what might be of interest to
that group.
Best,
jerome
[Moderator's note: Yes, Jerome, any list member can receive a single daily digest with all messages, or just a listing of messages with subject lines and the first few words of each post. Regarding the World Organization of Bukowina Jews, I have their current web site at: <http://www.bukowina.org.il/>. It's primarily in Hebrew, but if you click on "Die Stimme", it brings you to a page with several editions from 2006. It looks like there were not further posts of Die Stimme since then, but there is a person listed who can be contacted by email. Moderator Bruce]
