   You may find this interesting.
    The Ordinance imposing the yellow star. (It was found by E. Hauster in
Suceava just now and posted to the Gruss.)

         What is interesting (except that it specifies all technical aspects
of
application and who is exempted ),
     is the enforcement date : 26 Feb 1943
  In the text it relates to an earlier ordinance 1344/ 1941 of 1941.
    Does somebody remember why this ordinance was reissued and at such a
late date.
  Just to remind you : in 31 January 1943 von Paulus capitulated at
Stalingrad.
   Every strategist ( every second Jew was one) could tell you that the
Germans lost the war.
   Our Rumanian neighbors got long noses and longer letters from the front.
    And this was the time for Calotesu to remind us that the Yellow star had
to be made of two
    equilateral triangles of a 6cm latera each.
     Who remembers more ?
