Eytan,
As per locals , they caption the wall picture :"If stones could be silent
".
Need more ?
Dismantle the wall ? If you do this the stones will disappear in no
time.
When they dug up head stones on the Turkish street rennovation
we alerted the local jewish community . By the time somebody showed up
,
the stones were gone.
Better leave them for better times.
I only wonder how these were spared ?
Hardy

If the wall in the photographs is made of headstones from the graves of
the old Jewish cemetery, it could be worthwhile to dismantle the wall
in order to record any historical markings that may remain. Maybe some
of the history you speak of, Hardy, is still there for us to discern .
