Dear Jessica and Cz.-List members,

There is beginning to be in Chernivtsi a recognition of the importance
of the Jewish heritage of the city. Not only the memorial plaque
to Traian Popovici and the Jewish museum, both of which are Jewish
initiatives, but also the Yiddish inscription on the border-stones
of the pavement of the Herrengasse and the emphasis on the former
Jewish culture of Chernivtsi as seen in the recent advertisements for
visiting the city.

All the best,

Mimi
