[Cz-L] Czernowitz Ham

  This is the Ham , not Ham square or Ham junction - just Ham.
    The name is from the Turks ,it probably means something.
   You can see the Synagogen and Springbrunnengasse to the right.
    The Austrians renamed it Springbrunnenplatz.
      Here an artesian well was splashing ! Long before my time.
       Here was also the heart of the Jewish ghetto and a memorial plate can
be found.
      In the background the ramp leading to the Jewish Hospital can be seen.
       The hospital is no more but the gate still stands.
        Now they are digging there - maybe looking for the waters of the
Ham ?
