Hello,
I remember very well Maiku Ohrenstein. When I was in Cyprus (1948-1949) he
came to visit us, members and Hachshara groups of Hanoar Hazioni. He indeed
had a wonderful voice and taught us new Israeli songs. He was a very nice
man and devoted to Hanoar Hazioni ideology. I do not remember whether I
also had the pleasure to see him in Israel after my coming to Israel. As
most of you probably remember, in early January 1949 the British decided to
liquidate the so-called "illegal immigrants camps" in Cyprus as a result of
which we were allowed to go to Israel (end of January - early Februaty
1949).

All the best, Abraham K.
