[Cz-L] presentation on cemetery project

Hello to all,

In mid-February, I will be making a presentation about Czernowitz, the
cemetery project, and my family connections, to my mother's Brandeis
University women's group in New York. I will be making the same
presentation at my husband's Rotary club in Massachusetts in March. And I
have had several other requests from synagogues in Massachusetts and New
York.

I am in the process of putting together a Power Point presentation. I will
be using photos of the city, old and new, and pictures of the volunteers and
my trip. I would also very much like to include some of you and your
connections to the city. I think, much more than just talking about the
history, being able to put it together with actual people will make it much
more meaningful to my audiences.

So, for anyone who is interested, I would really appreciate a recent photo
of yourself, plus an old photo of you or relatives from Czernowitz, if you
have them. In addition, I would like a few sentences describing your
connection to or experiences in Czernowitz. And a bit about where you live
today. Just the variety of all of our connections to the city, that have
brought us together in this group, will be interesting to people. I will
read your words, not put them in writing in the PP.

I will be using some music, perhaps Ofn Pripechuck, and certainly Hava
Nagila. In doing a little more research, I discovered that the music
actually comes not from Czernowitz, but from Sadagura. Where my great
grandparents are from! Imagine - my relatives might have heard the rabbi or
cantor chanting the tune before anyone outside Sadagura had heard it! And
now, there are 60 versions on UTube alone, old and new, from the sublime to
the ridiculous.

I know a bit about some of your connections already, and look forward to
reading more. Even those of you who have already sent me some info before my
trip, please send it again, because I am not sure I still have all the
emails.
