[Cz-L] Unveiling of the Popovici memorial plaque.

Dear all,

I have now made tentative arrangements with Dr. Bursuc,
to have the official unveiling of the plaque on April 21,
At 3:00 in the afternoon, with a reception following.
The date is definite, the time and the reception tentative.
All Czernowitz survivors of WW2 and their descendants are invited.
I will ask "Die Stimme" to publish an invitation. All members
of the list, please tell your Czernowitz friends and relatives.
I will send official invitations for the unveiling, to representatives
 from Yad-Vashem, the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, the Romanian
and Israeli ambassadors and consuls to the Ukraine and to representatives
of the "Traian Popovici" society of Romania.
Dr. Bursuc will invite the local dignitaries, such as the mayor,
representatives of the Romanian cultural society, local holocaust survivors
and local people and their descendants who have been recognized by
Yad-Vashem as righteous among the nations as well as some people from
Suceava with ties to Dr. Traian Popovici.

I expect presence at the unveiling to be open to all, the reception -
open only to invited guests.

I will write to Zoya Danilovich and ask her whether she could make
hotel and transportation arrangements for those who want to attend.

I hope that at least some members of the list will decide to come
to Chernivtsi for this event.

I also welcome any comments and suggestions any of you would like
to make about this.
