[Cz-L] synagogue in Czernowitz

It has just come to my attention via a phone call to a recently
discovered relative that a member of my extended family, MOSHE
BARBASCH, was involved with the "building" of the synagogue, certainly
in the 1920's???.
Does anyone have additional information about this person, his family
and other related to the actual beginnings of the synagogue.
