Dear Jerome and members of the Cz.-List,

Thank you Jerome, for sending us Mr. Kylynych's message
and for responding to him the way you did.

Last year while in Chernivtsi, I twice by chance met Mr. Kylynych
and was introduced to him by my guide Zoya Danilovich.
I was very favourably impressed by the preparations made for
the 600 year celebrations and by Mr. Kylynych himself.

Mr. Kylynych's request that we develop a fruitful cooperation
between members of our list and the city of Chernivtsi, is in my
consideration a very welcome request.
I do not know whether we should respond as a group, or individually
as each one of us sees fit.
On one issue though, the cemetery, I want to ask you, to let me
and Sasha Wolloch talk to Mr. Kylynych personally when we will be
in the city for the unveiling of the Popovici memorial plaque.

Sasha, Christian and I have been working on a plan for the rehabilitation
and maintenance of the cemetery and we are considering specific suggestions
we would like to make to the city. At this point we have not agreed
to a definite plan or definite suggestions we would like to make.
Therefore I can tell you no more than that we want to have the cemetery
surveyed and mapped and discuss in general terms how best to have the
cemetery rehabilitated and maintained.

It is my belief that individual letter to Mr. Kylynych about the issue
of the cemetery would at this point not be productive and even though
you might think it presumptuous of me, I want to ask you to let Sasha
and I talk to Mr. Kylynych first.

Best regards to all,

Mimi

P.S. What do the numbers ?8364;“ stand for?
