Czernowitzers... the email below was in my inbox when I returned home
on Monday after a three week absence. It is addressed to us as a
group, and so I am forwarding it to you. If you wish to advise me as
to what our response might be, I would be pleased to try and craft a
reply reflective of your suggestions.

Since the email was sent on 05 February, I will respond initially and
immediately on our behalf with thanks for the invitation and
congratulations on a splendid 600th Anniversary celebration. I will
indicate that I have forwarded the email to the group and that we are
in the process of considering possible areas of future co-operation.

This may be an opportunity to advance projects that have already begun
(the Cemetery), as well as other endevours of mutual benefit.

If someone wishes to take charge of this effort, I would be delighted
as my plate is quite full at this time. If not, I'll do the best I can.

Best,
jerome

Dear visitors of *Czernowitz-L Discussion Group Website*,

First of all I would like to thank everyone who replied to our appeal
concerning preparation and celebration of the 600-th anniversary of our
wonderful Chernivtsi city and sent their proposals or ideas.

Now I think we should go on, moreover, because recently I have been
appointed a Director of International Office in the City Council.

I would like to suggest all former Chernivtsi citizens – members of the
site community to develop our fruitful cooperation. We expect proposals
from all of you concerning any projects promoting Chernivtsi. In
particular, there was a suggestion to make a museum of famous
Chernivtsi
families of the past, at least a virtual one – for the beginning.
Probably it would be reasonable to create a reference service on the
basis of your site. Any other proposals would be interesting as well.

So let’s continue our communication.

With gratitude and respect,

Volodymyr Kylynych
