Dear Mimi:

I agree, there is definitely a need for a separate organization with
a defined set of goals, and broad representation. This should
include list members, non members, representation from the Bukovina
Jews World Union, and leaders of the current Jewish community in
Czernowitz. (Hope I didn't leave anyone out!) I think this group
would face the same problems as in the past - inability to collect
sufficient funds, but the problem should not be insurmountable if the
new organization were to seek grant funds, coordinate and encourage
volunteer efforts, and raise funds on its own.

I'll be interested to hear what others have to say.

Good luck,

Bruce
