[Cz-L] Solca Romania Cemetery Photos posted

Czernowitzers...

I know there are some list members who have roots in Solca and to this
end I have posted an album of photos taken by Hannelore Condiescu of
the cemetery at Solca Romania. On our home page:
http://czernowitz.ehpes.com you will find two photos. One taken of
the cemetery in 1982 and the other in 2008 along with a link to
Hannelore's album.

If you compare the two photos, it is obvious that someone (a goat
perhaps?) has been caring for the cemetery, else it would be
completely overgrown by now -- and it is not. How is this care
accomplished?

You can argue that the 'fencing' that has appeared since the 1982
photo is not totally appropriate, but still, someone has taken the
trouble to fence it.

You can also get to the album from the Menu -> Miscellaneous -> last
item on the page. Some excellent photography from Hannelore who
dedicates the album to those Jews who at one time called Bukovina home.
