Hi,
As I've stated in the past, while it's a great idea to clean up the cemetery
in Czernowitz completely--you know how fast weeds and vegetation grow--it
won't be that long before it is not in pristine or even in a neat condition.
Over the following years all the work will be for naught unless, of course,
there is enough funds saved in a bank that could be used to clean the
cemetery periodically in perpetuity. Of course, I can't say how much money
this would cost, etc., but the group should think about this. Of course,
once every section is cleaned, etc., one should make sure that a reliable
soul or groups of souls go to every stone and grave and do a good job of
photographing it, so worse comes to worse, we at least have a visual record
that a person is buried there. Of course, I map should be drawn then of the
whole cemetery and preferably drawn according to scale, subdivided into
rectangular spaces denoting an individual burial, with the name and date of
death entered in each person buried entered there.
Am I wrong?
On another note, I've redesigned my site (at least the three dozen or so
main pages). You might like to take a look....
Best,
Steve Lasky
