[Cz-L] Re: Info. Non profit organizations

Nathan and Cz.-List members,

The Czernowitz List is not an organization, nor do I want to turn it into
one.
I like the list as it is, a forum for the exchange of information and ideas
about Czernowitz
and surrounding area, as it once was and as it currently is, with an
emphasis on its Jewish inhabitants, their history, culture and way of life.
The Cz.-List is ideally suited to establish and maintain contact between all
those, who share an interest in these topics.

Individual members can suggest to the list specific actions and projects,
which will necessitate
the formation of specific groups, action committees or organizations. This
is what I am doing=20
in regard to the Czernowitz/Chernivtsi Jewish cemetery. I agree with you
that helping survivors
of the Holocaust, of our "Landsmaschaft", who need help is important, and
not only survivors of the Holocaust.
I suggest that you research the extent of the problems of the elderly or
needy Czernowitzers, wherever they currently live, present the information
to the list and suggest what and how we could alleviate these problems.
