FYI- The Foundation Center here in NY is holding a workshop next week which
sounds like it might be useful for those on the committee in understanding
legal structures for this purpose.

Detailed info is on their website at Foundationcenter.org If no one can go
to this workshop I imagine that the Foundation Center in NY (and/or in other
cities) would still be a good source of information. The NY Center has an
extensive library which is open to the public.

experts on international exempt organizations. The Legal Structures for
Raising Funds in the U.S. to Support Foreign Charities will help

. Intermediary or fiscal sponsorship structure
. Donor advised structure
. Equivalency determination
. Expenditure responsibility
Representatives from New York Lawyers for the Public Interest will also be
on hand to provide information on how to obtain legal advice and technical
assistance for your nonprofit organization

a corporation for the restoration and maintenance of the
Chernivtsi/Czernowitz Jewish cemetery, please let us know. It is desirable
to set up this organization as soon as possible.

Please note: This organization/corporation is only for the stated purpose
of restoring and maintaining the Jewish cemetery in ChernivtsiUkraine.
All other purposes and desirable causes which members of this list may be
interested in, please, those interested, set up other organizations or
corporations to fund them.
