[Cz-L] on creating a non profit organization

Dear CZs - from my experience as a long term Exec Dir. of a non
profit arts org I understood that creating a non profit corporation
was a fairly labor intensive and costly enterprise. And since the
founders can never anticipate all the eventual roles they might want
to fulfill it is wise to keep the language of the by-laws as broad as
possible with options for future expansion. Therefore forming a
501(c) (3) of the Cz society whose prime mission might be the
restoration of the cemetery - could also contain clauses that might
eventually allow it to take on charitable works and other yet
unanticipated good works. Monies can be held in specially earmarked
accounts so that donors would be sure that their contributions to the
cemetery fund would not be diverted to another need or vice versa. It
is lawyer's work.
